Whatz up fellas? From what I understand, as of August 20, the US Coast Guard was on the ramp inspecting all vessels that were about to drop in. One guy said, "some poor bastard just got a ticket for not having the bottom of his boat painted". Whatz up wit dat? They are really breakin balls there, how the hell do you get a ticket for not having the bottom of your boat painted? Then get a ticket on land, that sucks...They were there around 10AM. However; the waves are starting to get half decent at high tide, I was out today and they were starting to look real nice...

Are you sure this wasn't the Coast Guard Reserve?

I can't speak about your area but down here we always have the Coast Guard Reserve hanging out at the boat ramps with pen/paper ready to scare off the FNG's. When they come to me I just tell them not to bother me and they need to ask someone else. At the ramps here people think their inspections are mandatory (its voluntary). They claim their inspection decal will give you 72 virgins or something like that.

I had my superjet in the back of my truck and they walked by me 2 times and didn't check anything. That old park ranger dude was there and giving out tickets for people looking at him the wrong way. I never got out there, but i head the waves sucked out in the ocean on sunday.

The waves were good right at high tide, I heard that bs from 5 dudes, I mean they all had pretty much the same story... They weren't 2gether, oh well F#### it anyhow.

I would have to agree that the bottom paint is bull. They would have to take me to jail before I would accept a ticket for that. If anything it would be the other way around in the future. If it kills anything that grows on the bottom of a hull it can't be too safe

That ranger is an A$$. One day he pulled me over with lights and siren a blaze for a parking ticket. $77.
