This is my first year without the 4x4 since 1998 (1997 Pathfinger bought used and 2006 Xterra bought new, traded in for a 2007 Odyssey SX-L as the kids hauler). The strange thing, I don't miss them that much.
Well, we still have that 2004 Infiniti G35X... my wife's commuter with over 140K miles on it. Her commute is about 100 miles only to get to and from work... Never mind that she has to manage a department during the day, and then deal with kids and myself after...

Yeah yeah I know. It is steeper than it looks. And I would have never even made it to the hill without it. I'd record a better example, but lost my camera!

I launched at WaveRave with a Saturn. Don't buy a 4x4 just for one weekend trip. But by all means, buy a 4x4. You'll never kick yourself for having it later (unless gas goes over $4 again).

I like it a lot so far. It sucks on gas, but that's because I was used to driving an accord. I have already hauled my ski in it like 5 times, and I couldn't be happier with finally having a truck to haul all my stuff around.
