hate to keep starting new threads here... anyways, I threw a b pipe and msd enhancer on my ski last yr towards the very end of the season. kind of did a half job on it just to try it out and now that its winter I am trying to sort things out a bit, get rid of the stuff I don't need, and clean up the engine compartment, so bear with me:
1. There are two vent lines that run up into the handlepole and end right at the base of it, by the rubber boot....
One, if I recall correctly attached to the old/stock exhaust system?? Am I correct in saying that, or am I missing where that should be hooked up?
The other appears to be a water/fuel separator. Are these worth keeping on the ski, and can someone explain to me how it actually functions when the pickup is on the top of the tank?
2. On the stock head, there used be a small line (prob 1/8 inch or so) that ran from the head into the "stinger" if you will.... They provided a small vinyl cap to go on there, but I melted and/or pressurized a couple right off of it, even with a zip tie on. Is there a better way to cap that thing?
3. On my MSD enhancer, I left it set where it came from the factory... is it worth cranking the rpms to max it out, or am I asking for longevity issues? I'd rather have a ski that runs reliably for a few years then to be replacing it early due to over revving it... rarely do I do much WOT end anyways. thoughts?
