Can't figure out how to fountain

Went riding today, and basically spent 45 minutes trying to fountain. I could not get the Nossle to come vertical enough to make the fountain look half way good. What am a doing wrong? Its uncomfertable as hell trying one on the FX1 though.....

ha yea that pole and bracket kind of gets in the way lol idk i guess just keep trying, for me i have a 750sx and the nose dosent want to go under when i get on it but eventually it does. just keep trying and hanigng on the front and youll get it.

feet on the rub rail around the front, itsa timing issue, let off the gas, when the nose drops, make a stand up motion pushing the nose down with your feet. and get on the gas at the same time.

Ive never done it on a FX1.

but the pole bracket on my square nose sticks up the same way as an FX1. ( why I use my FEET, instead of crotch on the nose!)

you dont give it any sack love for damn sure!

brraap....thats so 2002
fx-1 shouldnt be any differnt than a 550, once you spin around your weight should be able to get the nose going under.

it is all about keeping the ski centered under you. A good way to learn is have the ski off, swin around to he front and try and pull yourself up on the hood, grab the bars and go from there. Be careful not to swamp you boat

Try it on an X2, took me a while but now I can do them forever. Thinking of a second bilge pump up in the nose.

If you can find a decent beach area just start in thigh deep water, hop on the pole, give it some gas, and let your feet drag on the bottom for a bit. That should speed up the learning curve quite a bit. If it isn't getting vertical enough, try giving it some more gas.

Right now, I have 1 Attwood in the center of the pump...I forget what size but its like 750 or something like that...is this enough or would you suggest another in the center?

Tape over the oval holes in the front of your hood with duct tape if you haven't already. Once you find the sweet spot you should be able to fountain for a ways without any problems.

Kane....

Flip around on your ski backwards.....let completely off the gas...and extend your legs bakc and out. Keep them out to the side to keep balance. Use the throttle to make the fornt in go down. Its no biggy just takes time.

Thinking of a second bilge pump up in the nose.

Pointless.....unless you get it at the very nose and even then...is it worth the trouble to do trick you'll out of grow soon an extra 2 or 3 seconds?

Actually on an X2, if you are off the boat they ride nose heavy and it would really help to have the second pump up forward in front of the motor. I may have lots of room up there this winter, as I plan to relocate the gas tank hopefully.

Im going to have to see a pic to believe your bracket sits as high as an FX1 unless your missing the front there is NO WAY Ive even got the Blwsion low bracket and my buddies square doesnt stick up at all. Going from the FX1 to his square all of a sudden the hood is a safe happy place in comparison LOL

To the OG Ill see if I can get a clip up of mine I go into a sort of bulldog L foot in front of bars R mid tray working throttle with thumb then spin around and land on the hood grab throttle and yeehaw

Thanks guys,

I actually did do one, but my lanyard keeps comeing unclipped when I make the transition to the hood........

first of all, I didnt say it sits "as high" I said it sits " the same way"

that meaning it sticks up, without a smooth transition.

my gallery has LOTS of photos of this.

here is ONE.

you get the idea.

the black square nose boat I was referring to isnt stock.
maybe I didnt clarify that enough for you initially.

kind of looks like an FX1pole on that black one but yeah I see your point never seen a square quite like that I agree with turning the idle down too I realized that fairly quickly with mine and the lanyard can actually be completely eliminated the kill switch only exists at the switch itself therefore a little wiring and its gone
