You can remove the hull support if you are on flatwater or you can tweak another left side hull support to fit the right and it will clear the carbs easy.

i had an x-2 with duel keihn 42mm carbs. i never tweaked anything of course it was like that when i got it so i can't say for sure.

KawiX2 and I just finished putting dual Keihin 42's on his X-2 not long ago. It rips!

The hull support brace needs to be relocated. Attached is a schematic I made for the relocation plate that needs to be installed bewteen the top deck and the brace. If you have a '91 or later, the electrical box will need to be moved forward about an inch as well.

I would do it for a stricktly fast boat, but for freeride in the surf, no way. I already suffer from too much water injestion from being upside down all the time. Its a raining under the hood.

:haha: :haha:

Tell me about it. I am sticking with the single carb too. However my friend is running a very stock ZXI 750 motor with the original 38's on it so we will find out how bad it will ingest water. I think it might go better with tow single carb sparkarresters rather that the shoe box spark arrestor which weighs a bunch and is way up high.

I would much rather have a boat that "won't flame" out under severe conditions like Pete and I tend to ride in, than one that makes insane power and chokes when there is an 8 foot wave crashing down on you. My idea for the future may be a 701 conversion running the stock dual SJ airbox. I have seen that in the Japanese hulls.
