lol..

this is serious....

I need 2 super fast reliable 3 seaters that are as good on gas as can be.

So FZS is a 3 seater and FZR only 2...

I see more Sea Doos in Alaska though. Wonder why?

only thing different about the fzr from the fzs is that the blocked off the 3rd seat area with some plastic. its sipposed to be the "racing version". my friend has the fzs, its a pretty sweet machine. for a couch.

They're all gas guzzlers.

My mechanic spent over $300 in gas alone on 2 260s in 1 weekend. They weren't even ridden all that much. Most of the riding was on his 750sx's.

I just need to go really fast for 2k miles and stop for refueling as least as possible. :ugh2: Well at least on the longer legs of the trip.....181 miles....177 miles...

Good point. I mean how fast do you need to be? You might give up 10 mph top speed buy cut gas costs in half. Besides it's only so long before they get missle'd into a boat dock or other obstacle, right?

I like the Yamaha FXR/S because of the HKS Supercharger. The HP rating is unpublished (probably about 230?) but there are lots of modifications available like a plug-n-play Motec ECU that take it to about 315hp (and 80mph). Back in July Chris MacCluggage showed up in Texas off an airplane with a suitcase full of parts. He stopped at NT Yamaha in Lewisville (just north of Dallas). He "borrowed" a FZR and had the mechanics install his parts. He proceeded to clean house at the races over the next two days on his borrowed ski.

I just sent out my letter of intent for the 2k mile wetdog race through Alaska.

IF I get full sponsorship I am going.

So a 260x can be ordered with some extra go juice tanks? Internal or the racks on the back like I see the Alaska crew using?
