Thinking about putting a thicker base gasket and drop domes in my sxr. Is it worth doing?

If your gonna drop dome sizes in your head the best way to get then most out of dropping sizes is running an aftermarket base gasket. TBM makes a good copper one i believe. Either way if you decide to just drop ur domes ur still boosting your compression a bit.
You can NOT run drop down domes without the correct thicknest of base gasket.
Call Kommander and talk to them about it
I was thinking getting a thicker base gasket( .040 to .060 ) and droped ada domes. Anyone running this?

The ADA domes domes I have seen have squish bands that are too narrow for low-down torque, you can get them custom made from them with wider squish(I did). I think Komm Ind has domes with the wide squish
Yes, Kommander ind for this. They make them for the .040 base gasket and that is going to be best for your app.
I ll give a call. Im running a 28cc domes now and my compression is 190 Do I need to change dome size when I order new dropped domes or will the compression stay the same. Im running pump gas 92-93 and a wet pipe. What the differance if I put a 040 or 060 as far as perforrnance? Hows it gonna run? Thanks
