What engine setup would it take to flatwater flip my ski?

As much as I think the big bore 827 would kick butt, I think a stroker is really the best way to get that HUGE bottom/mid end smack you need to launch. Yes, I realize this is coming from a guy with a stroker that can't do a FWBF...

Then again, Patrick likes the 827 BETTER than the 793 (8mm x 81mm - just like mine) that he had in his old nationals boat.

We haven't' seen a video of you trying one yet - how far around are you getting?

I don't like having to wait on the weather so that I can drive 45 minutes, then get cocky and do them too close to shore and crack the nose of my ski.

Maybe you should just sell your boat, buy a little trampoline, put it at the end of the dock, and backflip off of it into the water.

My 8MM stroker (803CC / 82MM bore) and my Xscream Stock Stroke (845CC / 89MM bore) felt similiar in that they both had a very useable powerband, both bottom, mid and top.

In the end though, $ for $, the Xscream Stock Stroke setup was the way to go. Felt like it had more "ummph" overall (and sounding absolutely INSANE with the PowerFactor pipe :shocked

I rode Tem's boat 8mm, 82-83mm (822cc) and your right ROO the bottom hits a little harder on the 827SS.

Nothing hits like that 10mil/1000cc!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A really short, really light (like 55lb) hull would probably do it. The problem is, that's ALL it would do!
