biulding a SN from a 96 waveraider

hey guys i have a 96 waveraider with a brand new 701 in it that i cant sell so i have decided to get a SN hull and build it using the parts from the waveraider. Is there any parts that are not interchangeable?

I think you might be wrong on the mid shaft. The raider I took apart had a 2-3" spacer between the bulkhead and the midshaft housing. It won't work if you're square is a 650 hull though. the 650 hull has a different bolt pattern.

thats possible how much are you asking for the assembly. bolt pattern??? asre you talking about the motor mounts are different or the bearing housing is a different pattern?

raider midshaft is different than early SN midshaft
also motor has the rubber bumper thing on the bottom that
is easily removed with a sawz-all

650 sj's (1990-1993) have a smaller bolt pattern midshaft housing.
701 sj's (1994-current) have a bigger bolt pattern midshaft housing.

All ski's that have a 701 or 760 have the same midshaft housing. I'd guess that all 1100's and NP1200 have the same housing also.

Some 701/760 sitdowns have an adapter or spacer on the back of the midshaft housing that can be removed and then used on a SJ.

nope i need something to do this winter so i am set on building my own ski and i cant sell that damn raider for anything and its got a brand new motor sooo i already have the heart of the project, im just trying to make sure im not going to get into this with a 1990 hull and end up spending a :):):):) load of money cuz not as many parts were transferable as i thought

The raider midshaft is way too long. You'll need a midshaft from a SJ or VXR.

The rubber damper comes off with a wrench, too.

The raider pump will work, but you'll need to replace the 4 long bolts with 8 short bolts and nuts to hold it together. Get a SJ driveshaft, or I can make your shaft the correct length and cut new splines in it for you.

Not much else will work from the raider besides electrical and hardware.
