RRP SJ hood mounting issue

Well, I installed the RRP pole on my SJ with the dual breather mount and the supplied hood hooks wont fit. They are too low, the aftermarket Blowsion ones I have are now too high, because the pole mtg plate is 1/4" thick and the hooks go on it not the fiberglass now. I have a waterdawg Diablo hood, that was installed before the new mount, nothing else changed. Temp I installed the ss factory ones back on but the hood came a little loose last week in the surf on a failed 3/4 BR. Luckily I had a brap strap on so no biggie! I just emailed RRP, and the teck guy Jose just called me back and is great, he wants to see picts etc. Great product awesome company, now hopefully we will get this resolved, cause I know its not a common issue.

sure its not the hood?..i had one of those crap hoods and it never fit right..it actually blew off in the surf cause the hood hooks never fit right so that solved the problem

It may be the issue, but the confusing part is that I have had it for over a year without any problems. Like I said the only thing I changed was the pole mount.
