Salvaging gel coat if you forget to add hardener?

So in my rush to finish my ski in time for Rock & Ride my last can of gel coat didn't get hardener added to it (my dad mixed it and didn't put it in). It sprayed nicely and i thought everything was wonderful till i went to check on it two hours later to find it still as wet as when i sprayed it. My question is...is there any way to maybe mix some acetone and hardener and maybe mist over it to get it to cure or am i screwed and have to just clean it off and reshoot? Keep in mind it's tuesday night and i'm leaving thursday afternoon for cleveland ohio.

Its not the end of the world,I was in the middle of shooting my SX when a customer came up ,when I finished with the customer I picked up the paint gun and started spraying totally forgetting that I had not added hardener to the paint,it will dry eventually in about a year or so would be my best guess.

I'm just frustrated due to starting a full rebuild two and a half weeks before a freeride. I never realized a simple cleanup was going to graduate to a complete rebuild. Live and learn i suppose. Here's a shot before finish sanding and failed gel coat.

My vote is to strip it, and then snag a couple cans of flat black to hit it with a thin layer. When you get home you can acetone the paint off, or sand it off and it will help you get it even smoother than it is now.

In 95 they made the sxi and sx. Trust me this ski is fiberglass :fing02:

Close but no cookie. I'm leaving for cleveland at 6pm today and i have to work. Looks like i'll have to paint it when i get back. For now i have a bone white gel coated ski with a "mystic blue" hood and turf only on the bottom of the tray.
