I need to buy a motor! help a new kid out

I was about to go pick up a project ski today until my dad started having second thought about the ski. The ski is only missing the motor due do it throwing a rod and cracked the bottem case

So basicly I need to know were to find a motor for under $500 new or if anyone wouild be willing to sell there old one.

It is a 92 750sx and everythig is there and I need a good motor to convince my dad it is worth it

Save some headaches and get an SBT shortblock.

missing motor makes SBT pricey with no core
keep an eye on the boards, it is tought to get a 750
for $500 shipped.

Unless your getting that ski free, I would save your money and buy a used Superjet.

I agree with "save some money for a SJ" If the ski is missing the motor then where did it go. Just because it has a hole in the case don't mean that the motor is trash material. Sounds fishy even if the ski is only $100 buying a motor outright would make that ski cost as much buying a running one but with more headaches.

The holes can be welded up and the motor rebuilt for ~$500 but I wouldn't do it unless you have experience with rebuilding.

are you needing only a shortblock? or carbs, electrics, etc?

but x2 for 750s being a cool ski, i like my 750 hull wayyy more than any sj ive ridden. and mine weighs 11 lbs less then an sj. :headbang:
