Seadoo HX under blackberry bushes. Help

Purchased HX five years ago, got bill of sale and could never transfer title cause guy didnt transfer into his name for his purchaser. So i ran it and the exhaust pipe bolt came loose and hydolocked the motor. Been siting since. Just bought 1997 speedster Jet boat Seadoo and was told I could get HX registered if I jumped through some hoops. So i want to get the HX running again. I need a motor and the last time I checked a 800 cc would fit. Please advise. Any advice on hopping up the speedster would be nice also. believe the HX is a 1996. Thanks
ps can the supercharged 255hp motor be stuffed into the HX? Remove the intake tube stretch the nose a bit, modify the mounts or is this too much?

Hey, I have an HX that I am parting out if your interested. Also has UMI Steering system on it.

BK, did you run in the sport class on an HX at Myrtle beach last weekend? Whoever was out front was waaaaayyyyyy out front! That ski ripped!!! I'd suggest going with whatever that ski had in it.

you'll get some good advice here but I suggest you ask that question over at PWCtoday.com too. they are more of a sitdown crowd. Maybe greenhulk.net also, but they're not as into the sport ski's.

I own a '96 mod class HX. The sport guys are spread between pwctoday and the x. As for motors in the HX, 800cc is about as big as is practical. Anything larger and you weigh the hull down quite a bit.

Talk do Dan (Waterworx) on pwctoday, he is a wealth of HX knowledge

The 787 will fit but prepare to do some hull cutting, grinding, glassing and you need to make adaptor plates to hook up to the rear mounts. Its a bit of work but well worth the effort IMO.As far as hopping up the Speedster goes one word of advice DON'T:dance:
