MSD TL Digital, Problems again, Any ideas?

I was just going to pull the flywheel cover for hell of it, done everything else! I'm very anal about keeping my stuff clean, always spray everything with Silcone spray before & after I ride. Maybe I wash it to good!

Coils are mounted on a plate on top of the battery & each coil has its own ground wire running to a bolt on the intake. (I'll take some PICs in the morning).

I can't get the red light on period. I switch the diff switch to light up for timing & still couldn't get it to light up.

My last Box did the same thing, stopped firing one cylinder & then took a dump all together. Don't know the history on the first box, could have had a hard life.

Like u said earlier, thank God for warranty! Maybe it's the Quicksilver-JK JK JK JK Hope u get it going soon!

I was thinking the same thing, Damn Mecury crap! To top the weekend off, put my Boat in the water today & one of my Verdo's wouldn't start! Mercury strikes again!

I'm glad its under warranty!!!!!!

As mentioned earlier, I would short your pickup wires 2 Orange and 2 Brown I think? This will fire the respective coil. I don't think the LED will illuminate untill a pickup is triggered, shorting the pickup wires would be a good move I think.

the led could stop working and the brain can still function too, i think mattE had a brain like that. my led blinks when i turn it on and my fuse sparks a tiny bit everytime i install it after a battery charge.

Mine still sparked when installing the fuse after I left it out overnight. I pulled the box out today & it smells bad. Nothing smells like burned electrical boxes! Shipped it to MSD today, should be back next week.

Gotta finish my other Ski tomorrow!

My LED does not work in the LED on mode. I adjust my timing w/LED off and #1 plug laying on the head, w/it pops-I know where I am. LOL It really sucks to have your forearm next to the plug w/it pops tho-ask my garage door where my azz collided with it.

Just talked to MSD after shipping my box back. Great people to work with, didn't tell me much about whats wrong. Tech said box tested okay, BUT
there going to ship me a new unit. I think something was up with it, why would MSD ship a new unit.

Will have it tomorrow & see if it starts!

Most likely had moisture in it, then dried enough on the way to MSD so when they tested it, it worked. D-Roc and I have both have had success with baking the units and then sealing them with grease.

Glad to hear they sent u a new one. A buddy of mine has been bouncing a box back and forth to MSD for a year now that they say is good, and is good for about an hour each time-something gets hot and it dies.

It is most likely picking up moisture and dries out by the time it gets to MSD
