Got a campsite lined up and the day scheduled off from work! So far we only have one ski coming but have a fresh top end on the way for the other ski, hopefully we can get it straightened out before ozark. I was considering bringing down some jello shots for Friday night if anyone is interested post up so I know how many to make or if there is any interest at all.

I happen to love bacon. I think bacon flavored jello shot would be one of the few bacon flavored foods I would not enjoy though.

That is the perfect smiley for that. Parts should be coming in for the other ski today, then the cylinder is off to the machine shop.

Chad got his parts in and motor put back together, going to test it tonight if the weather holds.

Weather held, the motor didn't. Looks like he has a cooling issue and siezed another ring, looks like the cylinder is good this time though so honing it out and a new piston should do the trick if we can figure out where the cooling problem is.

okay, here is the diagnosis on my ski,....

my torque wrench was not working so when I put the head on I guessed at the proper torque, very bad decision. I got the head bolts too tight causing a four corner seisure. this is why it was overheating. It was only run for a short time so damage was keep to a minimum. The ring popped back out of the ring groove and is not damaged. The cylinder is still good, and the piston might be able to be cleaned up. ( I have to mic it to see). Best case I can put it back together and be good to go. Worst case I need one new piston. And put it back together with a good torque wrench this time. I feel like such a dumb a**. That motor was real strong, and I f*** it up

ouch that sucks. Just make sure you junk is good when you get to the ride- provided you are planning on chasing the big boats. They would run you over in a heart beat. make sure you have a tow rope too.
