Are the cables going to your plugs good? And does it actually spark when you try to start it or just turn over?

Run it on the hose & see if you can duplicate it. I's easy to find a leaky gasket when it's on the hose.

Exactly what I was thinking!

When it won't start, pull a plug any rest it on the head while you crank. See if it sparks just to verify.

Confirmed the spark is good. I ran it on the hose and got the no start situ. I pulled the plug and confirmed the spark is nice and blue/white right after I tried to start it.

I also did it again and relieved the pressure in the tank right after I shut it off and it started back up. I plan to run it on the hose again to confirm this.

I sucked through the valve but yes its doing its job. I am going to run it again on the hose and confirm that pressure is forcing the fuel through the carbs.

So this sounds like its all pointing back to what ketsair and supertune said about the n/s. are there any other ideas now?

ever hear that HISS when you remove your fuel cap?

when its like that, from bouncing, or SUN, remove air cleaner, look down carbs, you can usually see them dribbling.

it takes like 10 minutes to swap a needle/seat, oops, a bit longer for your dual carbs..

just figure out which one is leaking.. and swap it.

if you leave your fuel valve on, it can fill your entire crankcase with fuel, and hydrolock your engine, happened to me on the ride BACK from loto 2007

I will pull the f/a off next time I am running it and see if I can see anything. Other wise I will just do them both and be done with it.

I think that might introduce new probs if they are not tuned exactly the same. Are you still living at the same place?

Alright I definatly have fuel pooling down in the carbs when I shut it off after running it for a while. Its happening in both carbs. Does any one have a final word?

make sure you are filtered, coming from the tank, so no grit can hold the needle/seats open ( the new ones)

I would rebuild the carbs and put new reeds in while you have it apart.

I got my parts ordered for the carbs (thanks to Chuck). Should be here next week. We are doing a ride and tune next weekend but hopefully its more riding than tuning.

I got my parts today (thanks xscream) and I pulled my carbs apart and got every thing replaced. I started it for a second but I did not have time to run it on the hose before dark so I will do that tomorrow.

Thanks to Tony and Brandon I think we have it traced down to the stator. I sent it off to JSS. It should be to him by wed. I am hoping it will be back before the weekend but I really doubt it. Looks like I am missing another weekend.
