I did a natural terrain Enduro Cross in Rhode Island today. It was super fun. I figured the trials bike would make it interesting so I rode that. Turns out I was the only one there with one. I was happy with it when it ran but it DNF's both heats. Once with a chaffed kill switch wire inside the frame and then with a stuck float. I did have the second fasted lap time in the first heat on the first lap before it broke down so I was happy since I haven't ridden dirt since I was in Florida back in January.

Why didn't they just blip the gas & drop straight down?

because theyre trail riders and do not possess any kind of advanced skill or ability.

just watch the first 10 seconds of pete's vid again. typical trail rider crashing in first gear at 3 mph. but if you ask him, i'd bet he'd tell you he was going 100 feet up the vertical face of a mountain wide open in 5th gear. meep meep!

pete, that trials bike looks fun. i would like to ride something like that for the fk of it!

Just plain me....
ed,sometimes when your trying to be funny you just come off like a douche
x2 - I can't imagine why anyone would want to try to bash Pete, being funny or not. He is definitely one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Edwin, I love you dearly, but damn dude - get off the mx vs trails bashing.

No worries Eddy, I just saw this thread since I started it a while back. I just watched that first clip again and realized that guy is a Double A rider. Those guy are all expert level motocrossers anytime you put them on a track which blows my mind he had trouble in that spot. I guess the trials bike made a lot of stuff way more fun than it would have been on my 300.

I am pretty sure that guy falling on the KTM was the guy that could get his bike started and his line left without him then after he got it running he chased everyone down and won the Double A class saturday in Connecticut. Whern he lapped me he was going so fast I felt like a little girl on a razor scooter. It's not right.....

Mr. saki that would be fun if you came out to cali for some trail riding. It's o.k. I will wait for you as it will probably take you 3-4 tries to make the difficult sections.Trials, motocross and enduro experience will make you a much better rider.

thank you for the invitation. it sure looks like a lot of fun and its a tempting offer, but i may have to decline.

have a nice day.

Luckily I don't have to race against the little guys or my pride might really get hurt. At least the fast guys racing with me are my size...

Although there was this girl Cindy Cole that rode like a man back when I was a motocrosser. SHe was always a top 3 expert. When she was off the bike she was the shyest little girl that you would never ever guess could whip your ass all over the track and not even feel bad about it. That really put the hurt on your ego getting jumped over by her.....

For Saki's convenience we have some nice Hare Scrambles within an hour's drive. You could ride the beginners class on Saturday, or Sunday one of us Super Seniors could ride w/you......

You have an FTR membership already don't you?
