ok so i rode for the first time on my life today. I received my 93 superjet sn. I was doing good, but i had a problem. the engine bay of my jet ski was always full of water because of the trap for the air on the hood. I was always obligated to go back to the shore because my jet ski wasnt able to restart because of the water, plus when a little bit of water was going in , my jet ski had no torque at all. so what could i do to be able to ride for a longer time without being obligated to stop ?

Unless you (or a previous owner) has messed with the air trap or are doing subs it shouldn't be an issue. What makes you think that's the problem?

A place to start:
While it's sitting on a trailer put a garden hose into it until there is a few inches (5?) of water.

That tells you if you have a hull or driveshaft leak.

If that isn't it there look for cooling lines that are unhooked.

the problem is the air traps. I did a test and the water's going in by the air traps. And i got a bildge pump, i need to fix the wire to make it work but anyway theres so much of water going in that the bildge pump will have to work during 5 to 10 minutes.

bad midshaft letting in water?
or maybe a cracked/seperated bond line?
check all cooling lines and pipe for leaks

like i said its the air traps. There's always water that goes in there and it dont evacuate before going in the engine bay. is this normal ?

NO, it is not your traps unless your ski is lying on its side most of the time. When you fall, do you not let go and hold the ski on its side? If so, you problem is your technique.

I would say it is not your "traps" . I can ride with my hood off and not get that much water in from spray and the occasional water over the bow.

i know my square use to take on a lot of water with the stock hood. the tubes need to be up hire in the hood. the stock hood just dumps water in to the engine bay any time the nose dips under water. do the hood mod and it will be tons better.
