I used to ride a wetbike, and can get a new one from my uncle but its only the 25 hp engine... mine was 45+ goodies...
So my question now is if i can mount a kawi engine with a shaft conversion on its side in a hull and not have the engine blow up in any possibly bad way.

not thinking it will be a problem because during freestyles the engine goes upside down and every way possible and still runs but wanna make sure it wont die if ran that way for extended time... any info will help

Anyone asking "why would you wanna have a Wetbike" its really one of those things you can bring out and let everyone try and be like haha watch this...

The lowest power Wetbike made was 50HP, and went about 35mph. It was 723cc from 78-85, if I remember correctly. The later Tomcat model was 800cc. You'll have a hard time using a traditional jet ski engine in the Wetbike. The splined shaft that runs verticle in the hull slides into the crankshaft about 5 inches. If you rigged up a coupler the motor would stick up so high the seat wouldn't fit. The Wetbike engine is based on a Suzuki outboard motor.

I think they came alot lower hp then that, and when first sold the engines were talked about in hp instead of cc's that we use now so no clue on the cc's on one

I would think that it would not be a good idea to side mount a horizontal shaft engine into a vertical mount position. While it would run like this you would probably eat crank bearing pretty quick. The oil galleys are designed to collect oil to lubricate the crank main bearings as gravity draws the oil downward. If you change the orientation of the crank to vertical this system will not work and the bearings will run dry and fail. The wetjet engines were designed to run the way they are mounted.

I wasn't guessing about the power or cc's. I owned a 79 wetbike, and still have the manual.
