Help With B-Pipe Install

The Chamber/Stinger outlet is much smaller then the hose going to the water box, is there a trick that i dont know about? im thinking if i hook it up the way it is it will leak and leaks arnt good right

I take it you are installing a 2nd hand B pipe the piece of hose you get from FP with a new one is a 2" to 2.5" 45° (dia's are from memory check yours before buying) bend you can get them from factory pipe or your local auto store may have them, look for there selection of intercooler hoses.

Factory pipe sells the elbow separate. I think it is $35-40.

cut stock elbow hose and double clamp the small end... just make sure its tight.... should be ok.

I just did one super tight single clamp on mine. It's working out ok.

Is it worth the risk? No. Factory Pipe wouldn't have made the elbow if the stock hose worked perfectly. Just get it and forget it.

Yes, it's worth the risk - IMHO.
I've been running it that way for three years without ever having a problem.

Stock hose works OK. In fact for their B MOD pipe they instruct you to cut the stock hose to their specifications and install that. I use double clamps on the stinger. Maybe the reason they supply or offer an elbow with the Limited pipe is because they found an "off the shelf" elbow that would fit.

I'd worry more about the pipe rubbing on the ribs or the hull. after two or three years, the ribs had almost rubbed through my pipe, and by the stinger end the pipe had almost rubbed through my hull.

What's really the risk? The worst that could happen is your hose leaks and fills your engine bay with exhaust choking the motor. You would then ride back in after venting the exhaust for a few seconds and fix the problem...
If I ran a business selling parts, I'd throw in a $2 hose in the kit just to keep it clean. No one wants to pay $700 for a b pipe and have to cut and use an old hose but if you pay half that price, who really cares what hose is on there.
