My steering system finally showed up last night and I was able to get it installed and get my chinpad and limiting rope fitted.

I have a little more filing to do for the chinpad to fit perfect but I'm pretty happy with the way it fits. Way better than I expected.

For my limiting strap anchor, I found these at the boating store in the sailing section. Not sure if it's strong enough but it looks good, was under $5 and won't rust. It has a stainless wear strip in the back as well.

Just need to solder a 90° fitting into my pump and install my wear ring when it arrives thursday night and I am ready to go. I hope to put fuel in it tonight and get it fired up.

Huguenot on Saturday!!??

Thanks guys, LOL I have the cover sitting in the bench with a grease nipple taped to it. I have to pump some grease in before I install the cover. Just one of the little things on the list for tonight. Should have been done before I installed the housing but I kept forgetting to buy the grease nipple.

Did you wuss out and put the stinger fitting in?

HaHa, not yet, those blue lines run past and to the pissers and the yellow line, (or orange if your looking at an old pic) is for the tank vent line.

I was considering starting out with normal routing until i get it dialed in and then start tweaking cooling but figured that you had a similar setup and it worked for you.

I am going back to single cooling though, not sure how that will affect things.

wow what a good friend i am i didnt even see you thread untill just now. Its looking good and we will miss you tomorrow. But you cant rush these things.

I wanted to do this ski right, right from the get go and I feel I have. I double and tripple checked everything this sunday and finally hit the button around noon to check compression. I got 167 psi in both holes which is lower than anticipated but still very safe and pump gasable. I will break it in and then possibly change my dome size.

I filled the tank with 40:1, primed the fuel lines up to the carbs and held my breath....BRRROOOMMM!!!! What a thing of beauty!!!

She fired to life even before I had the start button fully depressed and sounds incredible! That B Carbon has a very distinct sound, especially when dry. I still haven't had it in the water yet but I have no doubt she will do just fine.

MY BABY IS DONE!!!

Here's some pics from her maiden voyage. Surf is definately not the best place to break in a new engine and even worse to do any tuning but that's what we had. She was loading up on the bottom end really bad but when she cleaned up and pulled through she hit pretty hard. Way more power than I expected which is good thing. I'm going to increase my popoff and try her out again this weekend.

All the riding pics are way too far away to see much. Have you checked your camera yet? Jen said she snapped quite a few for you.
