I'll show up at the Makai at 8:30am for the freeride clinic. I've never ridden in the surf before so I don't know if it's a waste of time for me to attend. I'm on my ski in flatwater for @ 12 hours per week during the summer since I live on the lake, so I'm hoping my balance and riding skills will serve me well in the surf. I'm not expecting to learn major skills on my first day.

I also plan on attending the flatwater clinic. I'm concerned that I will be exhausted from fighting the surf for the first time. Is anyone else planning on doing both?

Does anyone know where to go for the flatwater clinic? I haven't heard where it is yet except that it's where someone saw a dolphin once.

I'll prob do the surf clinic fri morning! But no the flatwater. I'm not driing 6 hours to ride what i ride here every weekend!

I'm not going to the flatwater clinic to ride flatwater. I'm going to the flatwater clinic to ride with pros who can teach me how to ride better and/or pull some tricks on the flatwater I ride all the time.
