With the total breakdown of the auto industry in Metro Detroit and being laid off at the end of this year, I am looking into the Aerospace industry in Seattle Washington (I'm a Catia V5 Designer).

I was curious what the jetski scene is like around there. Where to ride, who's out there, how long is the season, etc, etc?

Educate me.

Thx.

It depends on where you live.
There are areas (even around Seattle) that are NOT that expensive.

If you look at the east side of the state (WA and OR), cost of living is dramatically lower.

One reason most of us live outside Seattle proper, the average in the metro area is crazy, thus most of us live in the socalled "burbs" or in my case country........he he he, "my little slice of heaven" (within striking distance)

U can not leave us! Chris and Lucas have all ready moved to florida! Now u to:crying::puppy_dog_eyes:

Matt, the auto industry is in an terrible downward spiral and I believe it will never be the same. Rates/salaries have dropped, jobs are gone, and many are unemployed and more will be next year (including myself). At this point I am putting my feelers out , sending resumes (in Michigan and Washington) and doing some research. I have a buddy that made the switch and claims it was a great move for him. Plus, Crab is helping out with some good input. We'll see what the future holds.

Thanks for the other input guys, keep it coming. I really would like to seek the less expensive living and rent. You guys have any advise or locations (local to Seattle, like the 'burbs', etc.)? I wanna keep it simple/cheap as possible.

Built as a one story rambler in 79, I did a frame up renovation in 02 and added the top floor. Don't worry, we only get snow usually at the most for a couple weeks.
