Opinions on aftermarket steering cables...

I managed to find a new 750 WSM steering cable for $46... Are these cables any good or am I better off looking for a good used cable?

Also, I shouldn't them but anyone know where I can get the cable ends from?

You're better off with an oem, wsm's cables are terrible, broke one first time out, spend a little more and get an oem, try www.worldofpowersports.com, they have decent prices and even use the coupon code 10-off, to get an extra 10% off

i had a cooling "issue" this summer and melted my oem cable.

i can get wsm stuff next day since they are within 30 or so miles away probably less.

i am now running a wsm cable and i havent had a single problem with it.



i have heard people suggest oem but i didnt want to wait over a week for an oem when i could get wsm next day.

I am with you moto ,if they want to pay twice as much and wait twice as long I have no problem letting them.

I did manage to pick one up from Ronayers.com for $55 plus shipping. As far as I'm aware they sell the OEM stuff...At least it has the OEM part number. Guess I'll find out if I wasted and extra $10 soon enough.

I bet it's a WSM. I had the same thing recently - bought what was made to sound like OEM at a good price, and it turned out to be WSM. I was pretty pi$$ed.... (Especially since if I'd wanted WSM I could have bought one for less!)
