This is a little sumpin sumpin that I got from Randy @ Watcon off of ebay.I thought it was rather interesting,I just needed the pickup at the moment but I will probably try this in my 750 when I am done with it.Someone put a lot of work into making this ,while I am sure its not as light as a true total loss flywheel its way lighter than the stock flywheel on a 750 for sure. Thanks Randy you rock!:Banane09:

I wish MSD would've designed their total loss like that for the 750's in the first place. Drilling and tapping the case just seems dumb when you've already got the mounts in a more convenient location on the flywheel cover...

Looks sweet though! Definately more time and machinery than money...that's my speed all the way.

Yeah it looks like a 650 stator plate was remachined to fit the stator cover. They took a flywheel and cut it just past where it is staked to hold the ring gear on,then it looks like they took the stock hub out of the flywheel and tig welded it to the other flywheel piece, the aluminum piece that holds the magnets appears to be custom made and is through bolted to the hub.The tig work on this thing is amazing.

Heck I was just thinking they just removed the entire section that held the magnets in place and then machined the face down. If they welded the hub back into position, I sure hope it was properly balanced...although with the professional machine work done, I would be shocked if it wasn't balanced properly.
