its funny everyone is so worried about that..ive had my straps screwed into my tray since october and it isnt any heavier than the day i built it...my old ski had them that way as well....the scupper was also installed with silicon ( i didnt do it) and i decided to cut it open and see how wet it really was..well turns out it was basically bone dry...it was barley damp..my screws are sealed with silicon btw

Im thinking there will be a lack of stability having your feet that close together.

i do agree with that though

a couple years ago i was at marine world in vallejo and watched the boat/jetski show after wards i checked out one of the superjets they were using. it was pretty much stock but the rider had put the same strap setup on it just further back near the bondline so it wasnt drilled through the tray. infact i think he used the hole for the rear bow eye. he was using this setup for big v-wake backies and br's.
