something's not right

ok so my 90 sn freestyle sj w 61x 701, b pipe and 12/17 impeller is awesome i love it to death works great !

but......

after i do a sub or a nose stab or any trick when it is totally submerged under water after comming up i think it's over loading or something, when i am giving it full throttle to ride out it only wants to give me about 1/4 throttle for about 30 seconds, then my power starts to come back......

is it the low speed adjuster that i have to turn down on my carb?

or what seems to be the problem, any help is greatly appreciated.

your sucking up water and/or starving the engine of air.

I bet you dont run a A/M hood

i have a modded hoos, but it sucks modding another one now

oem or a/m air cleaners?

i run the oem air intake

coupler cover?

Lowes has some plumbing kits that will attach to stock oem hood intakes. Assuming you get the proper diameter tubing you can run the intakes deeper into the hull putting water in the floor of engine compartment. Most bogs happen when dunked under to the left as that intake discharges on the right hand side of engine hood/carb side. Flame arrestor will only make it worse if not using water repellent pre filter. OEM air box is best unless there is a whole bunch of water in hull getting churned up by drive couplers splashing up into the airbox intake.

I have always thought about a larger drive coupler cover also.
