Suzuki DR350------>?

Opinions on this bike? I found one, it's a 92 with 8300 miles, seems pretty low for miles. They have it listed for 1500. Clean with street legal nobbys. I've read some info on these bikes, they seem good, and I like the fact that this has lower miles. Would this be a decent first bike? Input welcome!!!

heavy, slo, and a lot of miles. if thats your first bike you'll be over it in a month. buy a real dirtbike before messing around on slow dual sports. be a good non-freeway commuter though.

Yeah, all I'm looking for is a non-freeway commuter right now. Is that considered a lot of miles?

for a bike, its a few. i know a lot of people put 40k plus on thiers but from lookin at adds i rarely see them over 4k. shouldnt be too big an issue though, it'll run forever

Worst bike I ever owned. Although mine had the california carb on it and it was a bitch to start. Other than that, yeah, heavy, slow for freeway and 8300 is getting up there if not properly maintained and ridden by a grandma.

It would be a good starter bike and good for non freeway.

Haha. I traded it for a 95 XP.

Worst bike you say because it was hard starting? Only has a kickstart right?
Hmm I would have to check it out. I just don't want to get screwed over, ever for 1500 ( a lot for me) because it wasn't taken care of or the clutch is shot, etc. Thanks for the input keep it coming.

Yes, kickstart. I had the 1992 DR350S which was the street model and it only had kick. Big reason I didnt like it was because I rode off-road a lot and it really sucked there. If your looking at a dirt model that was converted to street maybe it will start easier. It should be fine for a street put put beginner bike. Sorry to give a confusing response. I would offer them 1K unless it is spotless with maintnence records.

Rode the bike today, got it started in about 10 kicks, then could not get it to start back up after sitting 5 minutes. Kicked it about 30 times, it popped a few, then nothing. I think I'm going to find something with electric start after that experience. I liked the bike though.

thats cool and all...
my kids bikes are kick, and its one kick and off you go...

My bike has an electric start, I dont want to work up a sweat riding to work or anything..

Id just be afraid i might get some grease on my work pants leg or something...

Im kidding.

just being lazy, dressed nice for work, and on a hot day, that button is SO much nicer...

again, IM saying I like it.

If I had to kickstart to ride, I would happily do that too.

you feel way more bada55 fillin up with your 2 gallons of premium then kickin it over and launching while the sucker at the pump next to you still has 14 more gallons to put into his town and country.
