SXR : From race to Freeride Setup

Hi,
I just changed my S4 for a 2006 Full limited SXR.
Here is the setup :
82.5 or 83mm bore (need to check)
175 PSI compression on a TBM Head, with stock base gasket
FP Dry pipe
NOVI 48's (2005 model : D shape ventury)
Advent Ignition
TBM Charging flywheel (2008)
VFORCES 2 with R&D Dominator intake
MAGNUM Pump C75 12V With Skat trak nozzle and 15-20 Swirl impeller
-2" UMI handlepole...
I'll mount the kickers footholds and the Xmetal scupper valve and the bilge when I'll get the parts.

The sky runs fine on flatwater, very smooth power delivery... I am now searching for the low end hit.
Is the impeller OK with my setup ? Or, should I search for a 13/18 140-75mm or shorter impeller ?
I have a standard cone, I'll put a shorter one too...

Concerning the Advent, wich curve have the most aggressive timing in the low end (I run very rich on the NOVI).

If you see some other mods to add to the list, that is welcome.

Concerning the Superjet, yes, this is a great ski, I owned one before the S4... I now want to try having fun with the SXR ;)

Swap the dry pipe out for a a wet pipe, lower pitch prop, bore stock nozzle, lighten the ******** outa your ski (get rid of excess glue etc.) just my .02c:highhorse:

I cut 4" off my hull, and 1-1/2" off the pole...made a HUGE difference. Stubby pump conea s well, and I have a 6º advancer. Future mods are wet pipe and skat 9/17 swirl with 5mm setback, and a -4" or -6" pole and C.A.T.S. :)

thats a good set up with what you got, I would change to a wetpipe and cut your stock ride plate back. Make sure to get limiting straps for that hood. Lower pitched prop and FOOTHOLDS and you should be good to go!

You could even bring back the stock carbs if you are doing freeriding, dont need the big ones for surf riding. Bigger carbs = faster the water fills the motor IMO

Id say leave the dry pipe on, i was 50/50 about it. I rode kx454's ski with the dry pipe, milled head bigger carbs and light weight flywheel and it had a lot of hit off the start, it could just be that flywheel and the porting he did, im jelous. I have the wet pipe and i like its hit too sooo. I also have my motor moved 1.5" back and that a nice difference.

the wet pipe should have more hit off the bottom if you have it turned correctly. The dry pipe is a maintenance nightmare......... especially for freestyle.

i tried a bunch of different settings on the wet and my dry still hits as hard or harder off the bottom, and its got a way harder midrange with the dry.

i would go lower pitch on the prop, not sure to what as you are running the magnum pump. i have a 13/18 cutback 5mm skat and i love it. i cut 3 1/2" off my hull and its the best thing i have done yet. makes the ski feel super light, and it leaps out of the water a ******** ton better than stock.
