Please, if you don't know what you are talking about, please don't comment. If you honestly have an idea of whether or not it would work, please share or give your opinion. I think this thread would be an excellent source of info for future reference.

Now for the question..

Well, if you have a single channel digital total loss system, you probably already know that if they break, you are screwed. Well, MSD recommend their Motorcycle coil for a replacement for the coils. The only downside is they look really stupid, and are spendy $$$ ~90 bucks is what the tech guy told me.

I found these in a Summit Catalog, but don't have a good enough idea of what the value mean to make an accurate decision.

So for the baseline, MSD recommends this:

Use with MSD Ignitions
Output voltage: 40 KV
Primary resistance: 1.2 Ohms
Turns ratio: 100:1
Secondary resistance: 11,500 Ohms

I was wondering if either of these would work since they look a bit nicer and are cheaper as well

or even:

Thanks! I just have no idea what it would need in relation to the different values in the ohms resistance and turn ratio (Whatever the hell that is)

Well shiiiiiit, it appears as though these aren't made to fire both at the same time, so I now have serious doubt since you would have to link them together for it to work I guess... and I don't know about that. I think the tech guy told me no.

Oh well, if you have any alternatives to the blaster motorcycle coil, post em up!

I just wasn't sure if there was something to be gained by using an aftermarket coil as opposed to stock.
Nothing gained or lost, just follow waxheads or wedoseado's
recommendation. I used stock coils on sgl channel MSDs for years, learned that from riva set ups a long time ago. Don't waste your time talking to MSD, they don't even know what marine grade wire is.
