spend time riding it. its probably more that then anything. a longer ride plate will help as well.
i had the same problem until i got a good amount of tray time in. it just takes practice.

You can scoot forward in the tray or ride surf stance with one foot up at the front of the tray. When the nose starts to come up put your weight forward on your front foot. This will help keep the nose down. A longer ride plate will also help but I would wait to do that until you spend more time on the ski.

Well, I don't have the problem... I'm just tryin to help him out... I haven't ridden with him yet, so maybe you're right, maybe once he gets the hang of it more he'll fix it with experience.... but i just didn't know if sj's do that or what the deal is... I'm not familiar with sj's i ride sxr:veryhappy:

an extended ride plate will help but not nearly as much as riding time will. Tell him to get one foot as far forward as possible and put some weight on it when the nose starts coming up. The SXR is WAY heavier in the nose than a SJ, at least it feels that way.

Purposing= Boing...Boing...Boing...Boing...Boing...Boing...Boing..... Help I can't get it to stop......

But anyhow .. if your cousin doesn't want to spend the money on a ride plate just for a trial try spacing the rear of the rideplate with some washers for a temporary trial to see if it helps him...

It more than likely won't help sa much as the experience will but if he wants to try something..
