Well....I said I was gonna try it today!

The lake he was at (Ray Hubbard), if the wind is just right from the south to slightly southeast, the wind drives the waves to the narrow part under the bridge where I-30 crosses. When the wind is just right, it will work the waves up to 4 ft, easily. They are not strong waves like ocean waves and have deep troughs behind, but no worries about hitting bottom. The problem is the period. The waves are very close together, probably only about a 3-5 second period, maybe. Still a lot of fun. More nerve than I have to try it with those conditions.


Wait, what am I talking about? I don't have nerve enough to try it under ANY conditions! :jester:
