Jetski Covers

I've been looking for a cover for my super jet and wasn't sure if i should go and buy a nice $100+ cover, pick up a cheap generic one, or just make one. Has anyone here found place to buy covers for stand ups that are good quality and don't cost as much? or has anyone bought fabric and made their own?

Honestly i was thinking about picking up a few yards of sunbrella fabric online and then making two covers for my skis. Has anyone done this?

Thanks

I bought a covercraft cover last year and it's held up great so far. No fading or seam tearing. I forget what I payed, but it wasn't outrageous.

so no one on here has made their own cover? making a cover for a standup ski is pretty simple and good sunbrella material would cost you 1/5 the cost of buying a cover.

I never cover them I store them with the poles up and hoods off. No need for a cover while in tow rain won't hurt them one bit.

start cutting and stitching. take some pics of the final product. you may get some business out of it.

If your time is worth nothing then I say go for it,it is not as easy as it looks, I do upholstery here on customers skis all the time so I should know, also $8.00 a yard? unless you got that off of ebay I doubt thats its sunbrella for $8.00 a yard, take a look at the seat on the X2 in my avatar thats some of my work foam and all.

Very true about the price. After paying for shipping our profit rarely exceedes 10%. If there is a discount involved it dissapears. But we are still establishing our name so thats fine.
I have a guy working on a new logo for the company and when its done I will check with you guys and see what you think.

I am in the market for a cover for my new 08, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the blowsion covers? Can anyone compair the the socal covers to the blowsion cover? I would go with the socal cover, but I am already putting in a order for parts from blowsion, and they are almost the same price. but if the socal covers are better then it would be worth my time to put a separate order in.
thnx Mike

wedoseadoo, Love the avatar bro.... Damn that's good work! Oh yeah, we were talking about covers weren't we ? I would advise against slippery covers... I had one last less than two years on my SXR 800....Damn thing is ripping all over the place...Junk!
