5 blade stock superjet prop

I'm building a 701 square (was a 650) that came with the original 5-blade prop.
Has anybody tried this prop?
Any ideas how it will work coupled to a 61x 701?

WOW I have never seen a 5 blade.. It looks mean and you could post it on ebay and say that it is a new radical design and is adapted to work better with a multi fined scoop grate. Someone would buy that for an ungodly amount. Hey they buy all sorts of stupid stuff.

I don't think I have ever seen a stock prop that didn't have those. I took a stock prop out of a 06 SJ and the cavatation burns were about 1/2 way through the blade Stock definitely sucks

That probably came out of a sitdown. I think it would be crappy compared to any stainless impeller, but it's proabbly better than the stock 3 blade aluminum impeller.

the 94-95 X-2 came with a 4 or 5 blade aluminum impeller.. it worked okay.

It came out of a 93 superjet. I believe it was the only year sj they put it in.
The cavitation burns are very minimal; just through the paint.
I'll update this thread after I test it out...

I ran the ski today with a stock 61x motor (wisecos 150psi) and it worked mint. No cavitation problems. It pulled hard and top-end was good.
I built this ski up from a blown 650 to a running 701 and am going to keep this prop in it...
