I am really new to wrenching, what does cavitate mean?

Very basically, it means that your impellor is engaged but not generating the correct head pressure. Basically spinning without moving the proper amount of water through it.

Edit: I answer the phone, talk for just a moment or 2, and then there's another 8 replies.

Don't you people have jobs (non-goverment I mean)?

Shaft comes with it, you're fine.

Didn't you say you're sitting at work? Do you have the ski in the office or what?

Because it is a stock aluminum impeller. They are known to suck royal ass, and they cause cavitation. No matter how good they look.

However, your ride should be improved quite a bit now, IF you fixed the seal right.

I put a fine coat of grease on the seal.

me too

if you want to get under there with a flash light when its dark and shine it through your intake grate, it will give you a pretty good idea if it sealed up well or not, if there is light coming through the seal its bad, if not go run it
