Coil Question

When I was building my 97 SJ a engine builder told me that the gp760 coil gave off a stronger spark than the sj coil. I am now putting my blaster together and was thinking on putting that coil in. Is there any truth to it or am i waisting my money?

The coil is the same internally but the wires are different because they're filament core.

They're supposed to hold up better in salt water use and don't corrode like the tinned copper core wires.

MSD makes a stock improved hotter coil that uses similar wires but a few people have had some problems with them.
