Trimming the Factory Pipe elbow between stinger and waterbox?

They don't mention this in the instructions, but I would think if I trimmed about
1/2" or so off each end of the silicone coupler that FP includes with their pipe
(the one that attaches to the waterbox) it would make for a better fit, and
help draw the pipe away from the hull so it doesn't rub. The elbow seems way
too long. Maybe this is so it can fit the shorter MOD chamber as well (I have the limited).

Has anyone else had to do that?

Here's a picture....look how crammed it is.

I forgot!
i put mine on backwards because i have the team scream mod and needed the big end on the chamber. i also cut a notch for the stinger fitting to allow it to slide up more and get rid of the kink. fun eh? ...cutting and grinding up new expensive parts.

Yeah, It just doesn't seem right to have to cut up new parts.

I would feel much better if the FP instructions said
"The elbow is intentionally too long so you can trim to fit your needs."

I ended up trimming off 1/2 inch from the waterbox side and 1/4 inch from the pipe side of the rubber elbow. Made for a much better fit.

I can't think of many AM parts that I haven't had to take my dremel to. I think that is why a few companies have the word Kustom in their name. LOL

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I put the xmetal front exhaust on my ski... long story short- I put the exhaust like 1" too far back causing me to have to change my waterbox location and effectively having to cut about 1-1.5" off both sides of the coupler... there is not much left of it... but it does the job its supposed to do... I fight with about every part.
