i just bought my ski about a month ago its a 2004 sj. i was riding today and it started making a crazy noise. i opened the hood and i could see the motor was off of the mounts. i can move the motor from side to side. i havent got a chance to really get into it and look at it. does any body think i messed the shaft or anything else up? and do you think i have to get new motor mounts or maybe they just came loose or unbolted? thanks

honestly its a little pricey but i would just suck it up and get 4 new motor mounts and the kenney keepers. great insurance and gives you one less thing to have to worry about for a long long long time.

The keepers won't extend the life of your mounts in most cases.
They prevent the motor from flying forwards when you hit bottom ripping the mounts off. They won't help on them fun to do upside down landings.

Just plan on replacing mounts every now and then.

Not that I need it yet. But has anyone thought of some type of a "kenny keeper" that protects the mounts from tearing out during upside down landings? I dont have photoshop on this computer to make a diagram, but it doesnt seem like it would be to complicated.

twezzy you coming to the lone star free ride in march??

Im sure you could swap the mounts with out pulling the motor, but that would be way more work. Jerk that motor out,it is real easy.

From Blowsion:Designed in conjunction (and required) by Blowsion Pro Freerider Joe Kenney, our new “Kenney Keepers” are a must have for any hardcore surf or flat-water invert artist. Each set contains a left and right side front mount retainer and extended stainless hardware for install. Our unique close tolerance design retains the front, “top heavy” weight of the engine block from being flexed or thrown forward during flat out maneuvers, or inverts. Since this is a common occurrence even in flat water racing action, we have also found them to be excellent insurance against ever having to replace those expensive engine mounts again.
