stl need help

Hey guys from and around St.Louis need help setting up my x-2. I'm not new to riding just new to wrenchin. Not sure on how to install the mods I'm going to need. Not even real sure what i need so any feed back would be great.

Man there are about a million hours of reading on this site. There are some tricked out X-2's on the site also. I know by what I seen 2 years ago that you will be flat water barrel rolling that monster by the end of summer. I can't wait to ride with your crazy a$$

you think I need to do a 750 or 800 swap or just ride it as is with some bolt ons and you think it can be backfliped

If you want to back flip that thing on flat water you will need a lot of power like a pipe group K mods trim system impeller etc. etc. You will also not be able to get the correct body position on the x2 to make it easer. For the back flip you need to squat then lean back and throw your head back I don’t know if you can get all of this hanging onto bars that are so fare forward. IMO

If you want to spend that kind of cash I would have to suggest getting an already build round or square SJ and keep the x2 as an extra ski.

River you will also need a lot of power due to the type of wake we see, a stock 800 doesn’t have the balls but in surf I think you can get them easily with the correct body position because the waves have a lip to help you out. This would be better answered by pancake Pete or Yamaslut (Nick)

Dont put too much into a 650 x2. If you just want a fun rec boat they are okay..... but if you really want to have a blast on one, start with a 750 platform. It will save you in the long run. I wish I started with a 750 instead of dumping $$$$ into my 650's only to get a 750 a few months later.

i've had the ski for 15 years not looking for fun anymore lookin to get to do flips and get alot more lower end to get the ski out of the water. If I drop a stock 750 or 800 will it make a big diff?

you can backflip a stocker (sj) w/ foothold on a wake... of course you will need to have good form, but a very mild 750 motor in your x-2 will get you around easily even w/ bad form...

definately get straps
very short ride plate
and have your trim in the up position
approach the wave and squat down and lean back while giving it all she has.. make sure to look for the landing

I had a x-2 a long time a go and before I ever tried a flip I flipped it on accident (of course I bailed cause I wasn't trying to do that, but it shows how nose light they are...) they just want to flip...

Can you help me put them on?
and what should I buy I will order today so I can ride next weekend..

Be real careful when putting straps on an x2. If you dont seal it perfect they fill the hull up with water and soak the foam. Ski gains 50lbs and crack the hull in the winter. (Trust me on this one) I am going to put a set of these on mine, but I want to try a surface mount.

I ran these straps and they worked AWESOME!!
