won;'t the glue mess it up? it runs the sharpie! figured not alot of stuff can hold up. I just try to get my seams tight but poop happens. others seal all the edges with black sealant, but eh I like a clean edge- still have that option at any time.

thanks for the props everyone. this one was a little easier sans footholds. I really like filling in all the low spots with thin pad to make it all smooth. why they ever put those rail caps on I will never understand. thanks kawi!

I will be looking for your skis at daytona maybe we can do a side by side and I will show you why I like my installation order, tape is cheap. I ain't skeered.

maybe I will learn something? I have heard there are a few really tight installers out there. always looking to improve...

sxr's definately look like more of a bitch to turf than SJs

actually I think they are easier, on account of the sides are more radiused so you have less material to bunch together to make no seems.

the sj I pad the top of the rails to get rid of that drop at the front, plus it makes a nice cushy armrest for the old elbows. and the rear corners are a mother to do without cuts. I have done it but it really blows, mine are starting to come loose- needs more superglue. never did get the inside of the holds to stick either. that would be the place to start so you can get all the glue in there easily. its a wrestlin match all the way with the 24-7s I have in there.

#0 I lost track of time- like 3.5 hours grinding all the chit out, two more days of 5 hours or more- making the strap mounts finding hardware, fitting stuff on and off a few times til I was happy, waiting for epoxy to dry, waiting for glue to dry, sanding down the foam, trying to find the most sano way to mount the bindings, cleaning the glue. its not a moneymaking job- its a labor of love.

jetaddict- nothing amazing just airtools.:headbang:
