One of the guys I ride with just got a Blowsion trim system in, and theres no fins on the inside of the exit nozzle Like the stock units have. What's the diff. in having them vs. not?

Good question and Blowsion doesn't make that trim system, it's made by Skat-Trak as an accessory for their mag pumps. I would image there would be less restriction without the fins.

fins direct the turbulence within the nozzle.. and when the water suddenly take a 30 degree turn that turbulence is increased,, thus needing the fins to direct the flow more efficiently.

My protec nozzle has fins just like a stock nozzle. And I have never experienced any cavation even with a bored nozzle, low pitched prop and a wetwolf cone. They must do something.

I have one of the old Ocean pro nozzles with the fins, supposedly they make the water flow out of the exit nozzle in a straighter more controlled fashion,at least thats what ocean pro used to claim.

My Pro-Tec trim system didn't come with any fins in the reduction nozzle.

I just bored the nozzle to 86.5mm this week but I have yet to try it out.

I also heard that these things have cavitation issues, so I might just keep my raider setup.

My protec nozzle is bored to 87 mm, it had cavitation issues with a 12/15 concord, and a WW cone, and 650 power.
