I am just wanting to know if the 6m6 650 manifold will work on the 61x 701 case. The stock manifold does say 6m6 on it, but I don't want to get a part and have it turn up to be wrong...

Thanks for helping me answer this guys!

Oh and also, what about reeds? are the 61x reeds the same as the 6m6?

Yes, it will work. The port shape will be off, though.

Nothing that 15 minutes of grinding cannot fix. I believe the runners in the manifold may be smaller, too.

FWIW, I run a 650 FPP manifold on my 760 cylinder. It took a bit more than 15 minutes of grinding, but it works great. The outside dimensions are the same, it's just the inside that's different.

Reeds are most definitely not interchangeable.

EDIT: What I said applies to exhaust manifolds, not intake manifolds.

are you sure matt?

if he is talking about INTAKE manifolds, I dont they they will bolt on place of one another.
I can check for sure when I get home, but I think the 701 is slightly larger.

the reeds are different as well.

DOH!!!! I thought he was talking exhaust manifolds.

NO, the intake manifolds are 100% not interchangeable.

They look the same... I just can't tell and I don't want to waste any more of the sellers time than I have to.

That would be great if you checked! I've never seen the answer anywhere.... Just that the 61x manifold does infact say 6m6 on the top...

You're both wrong. :fingersx:

I happened to look at 2 650 intakes yesterday, and they say 6R7

Ok, I've got to take a picture tomorrow, because I'm sure mine says 6m6 on it where yours says 61x...

Then again I could be completely wrong and will end up looking like even more of an asshat (I love that word! I haven't seen it used for a few years though, guess I'm hanging in the wrong crowd)
