FOUND MY PROBLEM ... i hope :/

So, I posted before about 'spinning out' feeling when gassing it from the whole, and how it feels like cavitation but isn't really cavitating...

WELL! Where the bpipe connects with that lil blue coupler it's loose, and the entire inside of my ski right there is covered with exhaust oily muck.

I'm thinking this is my problem!! could it be!!?!?!?

Well, it's def. not running like crap... just on take-off or wot 'cavitation' feeling... The engine is also super loud, louder than ppl with front exhaust, probably due to the leak.

Either way, I can't get the blue thing to stay put! The top seels up nice but the bottom pulls away and the hose clamp just touches bare metal and creates a 1/4" gap It's like the pipe needs to be moved 1" through the friggen hull to prevent it :/ or the blue thing needs to be longer on the bottom than on the top.

Do they sell these cut-to-fit or are they all supposed to be one size fits all?

You need to clean the coupler and chamber surfaces with some carb cleaner to get the oil crap off. Once you get that done, reseat the chamber inside the coupler. Place the clamp on so that about 1/4" of coupler sticks past the clamp. You may need to loosen the other side and slide it down.

That should fix your problem.

Hey Doug, I did exactly that and that 1/4" slips past and then 1/4" to 1/2" gap opens on the bottom!

Going to try again, this time leaving the other side looser since it's a lil easier to work wtih.

It made it a HELL of a lot quieter, and it is def. a LOT smoother. It doesn't rev. near as fast now either so it's def. "smoother" feeling. I think it fixed it.
