WTF can I do to fix this? I have a limiting rope that I hook up right there, but it was doing this before I installed that. I also have hood straps which works, but then eliminates the usage of my limiting rope. It does it on big jumps, fountains, and subs.....Pretty much anything I do. I spend more time fixing my damn hood latch than I do riding :banghead: I even bought a new hood latch and it is doing the same thing. Anyone have something maybe I can rig up so it wont pop off anymore while riding and maybe take it off when I want to? I dont want to drill my hood and move the latch up 2 centimeters or anything. That wouldnt make much sense. I am not buying a new hood, that'd be too expensive. Anyone? :eek:uch:

My SXR's latches suck. I take a piece of fuel or water line andmake a slit in it, and stick it over the catch on the hood. When the latch bites down it has some extra meat to grab into, and makes it latch really tight. No problems for me since.

PS My sister saw you guys riding in the middle channel saturday I think. Ill be out at my place testing this weekend, you and your bro should swing by for a bit and ride.

Where was she at? :dunno: We will definetly be out Saturday since 2000+ boats are going to Muskamoot, should be alot of nice big boats and rough waters :toothache:. Hopefully more big boats and the channel doesnt get too rough. But that's like asking for it to rain and not to get wet. We will come by.

What is is connected to by the pole? Good idea!
That's part of the stock handlepole bracket backing plate from a squarnose. The xmetal bracket already had the holes, so we just put in a couple of spacers to raise it up a little then cut off part of the plate and bolted it on. I was just using what I had laying around the shop.
