Posting for a friend...

Does anyone know if any companies make a sling or harness that you could use to life a waverunner out of the water? He wants to use a winch to pull his ski out of the water than leaving it tied to the dock or use one of those plastic drive up docks.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Cool, thanks. If anybody else knows of anything post away.

Also, for what its worth it is a '98 XP Limited.

Thanks again.

Anthony thanks for posting this for me. I figured I might as well sign up on this forum also.

I bought the davit and sling from treadstone enginering back in 1995. Well this weekend when I had ski lifted up so I could do some work under it the sling decided to break and the ski fell and just about landed on me. Anyway I looked up the company and called them and they are no longer in business so I am looking for a new sling or device to hook to my davit to lift the ski out of the water. I have looked at the one that was posted but my concern is will it work with the hull design of the xp? If there are any other companies out there that make slings post them up.

Thanks
Chad

is it the type that is two metal channels and is connected by straps to a ring? I didn't trust the straps on mine and i bought some chain rated way over what a ski weighs and some type of clevis pin hook deal and some plastic tubing to cover the chain so as not to scratch the ski and then carpeteed the inside of the channel with some leftover bunk carpet. works great. steel baby! not nylon straps.

I wish I had some pics of what it looked like. But it was bascially two pvc pipes with straps running through them which went up to a steel ring. The actuall strap broke I guess from old age and being in the sun.
