I was just thinking about how many bull sharks i've seen when i was living down south... and thinking, now that i'm back up here, riding on Lake Erie, where there is nothing that wants to eat me I'm safe:biggrin: then i remembered reading about those stupid asian fish awhile back...:frown:

I was down south when a young kid got his arm tore off in the Pensacola area... i think he later died... and also when that gym coach got his arm tore off by a bull shark in Orange Beach, AL.

I saw a whole frigin school of them at the Perdido Pass area a few years back, before moving back north... made me sweat!!!

I have had a couple run ins with sharks... Not to fun... All in my surfing days.

Attached is a pic of a scar that I got from hitting one while paddling out on a great surf day when I was younger... Used to surf alot.

I hit this thing in the water and was like ouch what is that....
looked up with blood all over my wrist. Shark skin is rough and that is what I hit... I did not realize then I saw it fin... Yelled at my surfing buddies and they laughed at me... Right after that it finned up right next to them... lets just say they paddled so fast that you could of wakeboarded off there wake... :biggrin:

Yeah.... They can't shut us down, it was a navigatable Inlet where I hit him...

It's not illegal to accidently hit a Manatee... I looked back and it seemed ok... I did nail that thing right in the head too...
