Oil mix ratio ? ? ? ?

Hi guys, just curious to see what oil ratios you are running on your modified skis. Ported, piped etc.
Im currently running 32:1

I run in the sea so mabe im better at either 40:1 or 32:1, would you say 40:1 is ok for a big bore ported 61x ?

Mostly river for me, with occasional ocean. I don't think it would make a difference.

Thanks, it could save me a few pennies though, this fuel/oil thing is getting expensive. The price you pay for performance i suppose :banghead:

i thought amsoil states you can run +50:1 easily, no? I swear I recall people saying they run upwards to 80:1 on that..... :dunno:

Even if you could though, why? I would venture to say that most people don't fully understand engines enough to tune to that type of window. When I say window, I mean there is a tighter range the leaner you run your ski. Your engine won't be as forgiving if just one small thing is off on your tune.

pennzoil 100% is just over $20/gal if you buy 4 at a time.

My ski has it all (see frankenstein/superbeast in "my ski")I run 40:1 but I don't do any high speed runs. If you are doing some extended high speed runs then I would go 32:1. You cannot replace quantity with quality.
