it just sank....

90% under water only thing sticking up was the pump...
swam it so shore took about 5mins, fliped it over and let it drain, puled both spark plugs and let 700cc of water drain out of the cylender. with both plugs out i held the starter for a good minuts. Fliped it back over and ran to the gerage to get spair plugs, started on the rear cylinder took about 8 minuts to get it to turn about 3-5 time(i took the plugs out and was drying the plugs every 20 seconds), removed rear pung and jump to the front cylender, took about 5 minuts.

Dryed both plugs and installed both and got it to turn over, primed it up and was out a good 5-10minuts 1/2-3/4 throddle. I dident wont to WOT b/c i dont even have 2hr's on this thing yet, need's to be broken in:bs2:


Is their anything else i need to do? its running pretty good now. I'll fill in the details later, its about to rain here in 30minuts.

you just want to keep the motor heated to get rid of all moisture.

Yes, pull those pickups as far up as you can, until you get a chance to drain the fuel out of the tank.

Water is at the bottom, you don't want to start sucking water up.

hose wont let it get hot enough
put it in the lake and ride the pi$$ out of it for 20 - 30 minutes until it get it good and hot and evaporate the remaining water
then fog it until it chokes out and repeat with good fogging oil to lube the crank really good

Bahahha, i was actualy thinking about that the entire time swiming it in.
These things are a bitch to pull in when they are full of water. Think i ended up running it for a good 40minuts total...

Whats a "good fogging oil" and can i pick it up at napa?
and i assume i just squite it down the carbs, but how much? and you said repeat. how many times?

do i need to pull the head?

ah, sinking a skis not carnage, for some people its a routine thing, lol.

like they said, just run it for awhile to get it hot and get the water out of it, then use some fogging oil.

Short blips of WOT wont hurt the engine during break-in.

I don't see a reason to run it hard. Just run it long enough to make sure its good and hot. You can pretty much count on water in the gas. I pull the tank and completely drain / dry it out. (been there a few times now..)

If i squirt it in the cylinder w/o the head how is it supost run untill it chokes out? i'v never bought any "foging" oil before, is this something i can ask the friendly people at napa and tehy know what it is? also is their a watercraft version? good brad?
