i dont think so. i was trying to buy jets locally and had no luck at all. everyone had jets but no one had the kind i needed. even found some round mikuni jets but they were way too big.

gotcha, its girly man ketsair.

he thinks he needs a bigger main jet than came with his new B pipe.

Im not sure he knows how to tune though
hair and makeup, I trust him with.

but jetting? not so much.

I just got off the phone with him, he doesnt know what he needs, its either a larger main, some tuning on the pilot, or a pump seal, or the window regulator.

cool....he said he was gonna try to tune it in on sunday. being stock other than the pipe i would think that factory pipes recommendation would have been pretty close for him. what makes him think that it is too lean on the main?

hahaha leave it to mouth to screw this up, hahaha

my issue is when i snapp WOT there is a lag, it bogs for a sec, then brap, when i started my tuning it didn't do this, i need to count the # of turn out for my main, because it's about right, if i'm too many out, i'll drop the next size up in, but the hesitation started when i turned the high spped 1 full turn out from b-pipes spec & the low speed out 1/2 turn, my wife rode it most of that time, when i got on it we were loading up, and i noticed it, yes it is cavitating but i'm pretty sure i need a pump seal, but back to the carb i'm thinking i may need a diff popoff that that may be part of the hesitation issue, but mark44 you're right, if the was an MX carb i'd have been done in the first 15 minutes, i'm just not used to messing with these yet

i bet you are too rich on your low end.....that is why it bogs before brapping when you snap it wide open.....you main jet hasnt had time to affect the f/a mixture just yet when you first snap it. did factory give you a larger low speed jet and did you turn your screw out farther than it was?

I disagree, if it has a hesitation then brap I think it is lean because adding the pipe usually requires bigger jetting. I would go up a couple sizes on the pilot first and play with the low end screw.

when i put the pipe in (@ the end of last year after riding season ended) i set it exactly what FPP advised so i'd have a good starting point, i can't remember what all it was, i'll try to find the papers, i have folders for all this stuff for all of my bikes, but haven't started anything with the ski yet, 1st mod as far as power plant goes....other that swaping the stock 6m6 for the 61x, does feel loaded up though

but he said it was bogging and felt like it was loading up. a fall on the face hesitation is definately lean condition but i am not sure that is what he is describing.
