wetjet intake

ok, so I bought this.

It is not like the other wetjet intakes I have seen.

WTF is up ?

It came from a duo 300 I think, is the carb even a mikuni 46?
it IS gold colored.

From what I have seen there is a wetjet 44mm setup and a 46mm setup, I have both......I believe the 46mm setup comes with the built in reed stuffers.....the bolt spacing is wider on the 46mm setup.......so try the gold carb on a standard 6m6 or 61x intake.....

the carb measures 44.38 something MM on its OUTPUT.

is this a mikuni 44 or mikuni 46?

the ONLY other carbs I have are mounted, so I cant compare by measuring. I loaned out my spare sbn44 a year ago and havent gotten it back yet.

so I cant compare measurements, you guys tell me, sbn 44, or sbn 46

is this a wet jet carb ( sbn46)?

sorry to say this but I think it is a 44mm.......I measured the bolt spacing and it is approximately 80mm from center to center on the bolt holes......and input and output on the carb I have is definitely 46mm

right, I figured as much, I will call the dude.

but, I am likely fawked, since it was sold as wetjet stuff, and not 46mm wetjet stuff.

I talked nice about him today, before I really got the parts out and got to looking.

they were packed well, gold colored the ride from the post office in the fron tseat with me, they looked like what I wanted..

jeeze.

you just CANT be too careful.

He made the basic assumption that if it is wetjet it is 46mm......I thought that too until I ended up with a set of wetjet cases (from a big lot of parts) with intake and discovered that the intake was 44mm......

Yep, its a standard 61x 44 setup. They came with both. You really have to watch out for that and make sure you see the bottom of the intake manifold. Sorry to hear that.

That does stink, but it is what was advertised. I never know they used 44's on the wetjet either...
Here's a pic of a wetjet manifold. Looks like it's all 1 piece insted of the intake and a seperate reed plate.

I will either get stuck with it or I wont.

It was only $140, not like that will be my financial demise.

BUT, just more parts that I dont really need.

its gold colored, carb is silver, included wetjet flame arrestor.
it sure looks like factory paint.

thats the price we settled on.

it did come from a wetjet, just not a kraze or whatever, it came from a duo300
